2026 World Cup Qualifiers: Sports Minister Kofi Adams backs Black Stars to secure wins against Chad and Madagascar
Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, says the Black Stars are psychologically ready to record wins against Chad and Madagascar in the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.The four-time African champions after failing to make it to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) will regroup for the first time this year as they hope to solidify their chances of qualifying for the Mundial.Speaking to 3sports,Kofi Adamsemphasized the teams preparedness and called on Ghanaians for support.I want to call on Ghanaians to support the team. I know were going to win both games, he said.The players are well energized, well prepared and psychologically I believe they are ready for both games were ready for the two matches and we will win, he added.Ghana will face Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, March 21, before travelling to Morocco to take on Madagascar on Monday, March 24.Meanwhile, the team has officially opened camp in Accra today and will hold their first training session at the Accra Sports Stadium.Ghana is currently tied with Comoros on nine points in Group I of the World Cup qualifiers.
