
Ghanas Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has stressed the need for a major overhaul in the countrys sports sector following recent poor performances.
The Black Stars failed to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco, marking the first time in 21 years that Ghana will not participate in the tournament.
The AFCON disappointment adds to the countrys struggles in recent competitions, with back-to-back group-stage exits in the last two continental tournaments.
This has prompted many to call for major reforms to rescue Ghanas football from its downward spiral in recent years.
Speaking to Joy Sports, Adams emphasized the need for urgent systemic adjustments moving forward.
