Agyemang-Badu hopes Andre Ayew doesn't leave Black Stars with bitterness

Former Ghana international Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has urged for a dignified exit for Black Stars captain Andre Ayew amid growing calls for his retirement from the national team.Ayew, who has been with the Black Stars since 2007, has not received a call-up since March 2024, despite impressive club-level form with Le Havre in the French Ligue 1.The 35-year-old has contributed five goals this season, scoring four, yet his future with the national team remains uncertain.With Otto Addo expected to name a new Black Stars captain, reports suggest Jordan Ayew is in line to take over, fueling speculation that Andre may not be invited for upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.Speaking on Sporty FMs Drive Show, Agyemang-Badu insisted that the decision to continue or step aside should be left to Ayew.Andre knows his body more than I do. If he feels good, is performing well for his club, and the coach wants him, fine. The decision to continue or stop should be his.
