Former Black Stars striker, Kwesi Appiah, says earning his maiden call-up to the Ghana senior national team was a dream come true.The former Crystal Palace striker made his debut for the four-time African champions under Avram Grant.After missing the first two games during the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), Appiah made acameo appearance againstSouth Africa andwon the hearts of Ghanaian fans.He was rewarded with a start in the quarter-finals and scored and then went on to provide two assists in the semi-final.Reflecting on his first call-up, theBoreham Wood striker said,The call-up itself was great, but putting on that shirt for the first time and gracing the pitch with my teammates was euphoric and a dream come true, he told Flashscore.Though Ghana fell short in the final, Appiah's tournament experience became foundational.
