Focus on salvation and leave GFA alone - Takyi Arhin tears pastor Kofi Oduro apart over sweeping FA corrupt claims
The founder and leader of Alabaster International Ministry, pastor Kofi Oduro, has been told to focus on his religious duties and salvation, rather than making unfounded allegations against the Ghana Football Association.Aduana FC General Manager, Takyi Arhin, has launched a fierce response to the pastor, who made the wild claim of the GFA being the most corrupt institution in Ghana.Takyi Arhin has labeled as baseless and ignorance the allegations by the pastor who is famed for shouting at his congregation. He has asked the religious leader to concentrate on preaching and guiding his congregation towards spiritual growth, instead of interfering in football governance which pastor Oduro has no knowledge of.Like the Bible says, for lack of vision and knowledge, my people perish. Pastor Oduro should preach salvation and stop dabbling in politics, Arhin told GHANAsoccernet.com from his base in Sunyani.GFA renders account to Congress and a reputable Audit firm, audit the books of the FA every year. What about Pastor Oduro's church? Who do they render account to??The claim that GFA is the most corrupt institution in Ghana is ridiculous and born out of ignorance. Pastor Oduro being an ignoramus, do not know that that GFA do not spend Government money. Every approval or disbursement is done by the Ministry with a purse holder attached to every national team. This is common sense and basic!Pastor Oduro should be told that the GFA is a private company limited by guarantee and only accountable to members of the association not the general public. He should focus on salvation and show the audited account of his one-man church before talking about the GFA. he fumed.
Arhin further stated that salvation and spiritual leadership should be the pastor's priority, pointing out that meddling in the GFA's affairs without evidence only damages the reputation of the association and undermines the hard work being done to improve football in Ghana.
The former Berekum Arsenal boss emphasised that the GFA, unlike Pastor Oduro's one-man church, is subject to regular scrutiny and governance procedures, including audits, and that any claims of corruption should be backed by facts rather than sensationalism.
Arhins strong-worded response underscores his frustration with what he sees as unwarranted interference by Pastor Oduro. He concluded by calling on the pastor to stick to his pulpit, leaving football administration to those who understand the complexities and challenges of running the sport in Ghana.
