"Players receive as low as GHC400 in the Ghana Premier League"- Yussif Chibsah reveals
Former Black Stars midfielder Yussif Chibsah has disclosed the salary range of players in the Ghana Premier League.The head of player relations at the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) revealed that some players receive as low as GHC 400 as their salary.Chibsah, who played for King Faisal and Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League, also shared that some clubs pay as much as GHC 18000 to their players, praising the Porcupine Warriors and Hearts of Oak for leading the way.These salaries I can not mention on radio, on air, he told Sporty FM. We have heard lowest as low as GHC 400 and as high as GHC 18000 to GHC 20000. There has been GHC20000 and even GHC 21000. Maybe I have to mention the clubs so they no they are doing a good job.Hearts of Oak, Kotoko and Medeama sometimes have come close, he added.
