Ibrahim Sulemana named in Atalanta squad for Champions League knockout play-offs
Ghana midfielder Ibrahim Sulemana has been included in Atalantas squad for the UEFA Champions League knockout play-offs.Sulemana was unavailable for the group stage due to an injury he suffered shortly after joining from Cagliari.The 21-year-old has struggled to secure a starting spot in a midfield dominated by captain Marten De Roon and Brazilian Ederson.However, manager Gian Piero Gasperini has shown confidence in the youngster, believing he can contribute to both the clubs league and European campaigns.Sulemana could make his Champions League debut on Wednesday when Atalanta face Club Brugge in the first leg at the Jan Breydel Stadium.The midfielder recently returned to action, coming on as a second-half substitute in Atalantas 5-0 victory over his former club, Hellas Verona.Atalanta currently sit third in Serie A with 50 points as they continue their push for silverware.
