Ghanaian forward Myron Boadu suffers hamstring injury in Bochumâ??s stalemate against Holstein Kiel
Dutch-born Ghanaian attacker Myron Boadu retired before the interval after picking up a hamstring injury in Bochums away stalemate against Holstein Kiel in the German Bundesliga.Boadu had to be subbed off in the 45th-minute due to the setback, making way for Moritz Broschinski for the remaining minutes. He will undergo scans to determine the extent of the injury.Before leaving the pitch, the Ghanaian forward had fired a brace as Bochum held Holstein Kiel to a 2-2 draw.At the Holstein-Stadion on Sunday, Germany international Steven Skrzybski converted from the spot to kick off the scoring for the home team in the third minute.The visitors' resurgence was spearheaded by Boadu, who posed a constant threat to the Holstein Kiel defence. However, his persistence paid off in the 37th minute when he latched onto a pass from Matus Bero and fired a low shot from inside the box into the net to pull parity.Two-minutes later, the Ghanaian attacker headed home his second goal of the match, doubling the visitors advantage in the thrilling encounter. Boadus brace ensured Bochum went to the halftime break with a slight lead.Five-minutes into the second half, the home team pulled parity through David Zec as the game ended in a draw.The 24-year-old Dutch-Ghanaian forward has been impressive in the Bundesliga for Bochum, scoring seven goals and providing an assist from 11 games.
