President Mahama swears in Kofi Adams to commence work as Sports Minister
President of the Republic, H.E John Dramani Mahama has sworn into office the Member of Parliament for Buem, Mr. Kofi Adams to commence work as Ghanas Minister for Sports and Recreation.The swearing-in ceremony was held at the Presidency on Friday, February 7.In an address after the ceremony, President John Dramani Mahama acknowledged the tough task ahead of the Sports Minister.He urged Kofi Adams to inject transparency, professionalism, and modernity into the management of the sector.President Mahama also tasked the Sports Minister to ensure that sports in the country is restored to its glory days.The Hon. Kofi Iddie Adams, Minister for Sports and Recreation, I dont envy your job. You have the monumental task of restoring Ghana to its pride of place in African and world sports. The shambles that is Ghana sports today is unacceptable.I expect that you will concentrate on building all the sports disciplines and I know the Ghana Football Association will be a good place to start to work to make sure that we return Black Stars to its glory days, President Mahama said.
