Ghana Premier League clubs have failed to abide by regulations we collectively adopted - Ameenu Shardow

Dreams FC General Manager, Ameenu Shardow, has called out Ghana Premier League (GPL) clubs for failing to adhere to regulations they collectively agreed upon, following the tragic death of Francis Yaw Pooley Frimpong, a devoted Asante Kotoko fan.He made these remarks after the Ghana Football Association convened a meeting with the 18 league clubs.The incident occurred during the Week 19 fixture between Nsoatreman FC and Asante Kotoko at Nsoatre and has sparked widespread discussions about safety in football.The Ghana Football Association (GFA), in collaboration with the Ghana Police Service, has since launched an investigation into the circumstances leading to Pooleys death.So far, six individuals, including Nsoatreman FC Executive Chairman Ignatius Baffour Awuah, have been arrested in connection with the violent clashes.Shardow emphasized that strict adherence to league rules and regulations is essential to prevent such incidents and create a safer football environment.It is simply by enforcing the rules and regulations that we must abide by because, over the years, I think collectively, as industry players, we have failed to live up to the regulations we collectively accepted and adopted.So, going forward, we have to ensure strict compliance with and adherence to the rules and regulations.It affects all of us.
