We will give police more information to help investigate Kotoko fanâ??s death â?? Samuel Sarfo Duku
Asante Kotoko Communications Director Samuel Sarfo Duku has pledged full cooperation with the police in the ongoing investigation into the death of Francis Yaw Frimpong, popularly known as Pooley.Frimpong, a devoted Kumasi Asante Kotoko supporter, tragically lost his life following violent clashes at Nana Koromansah Park during a Week 19 league match between Nsoatreman FC and Asante Kotoko on Sunday.The incident has reignited concerns about safety at Ghana Premier League match venues.We have a lot of information, but I believe the best way to handle it is to give it to the police, Sarfo Duku told reporters after the club's meeting with the police IGP.We hope more people will be arrested, so the culprits are brought to justice.Sarfo Duku also commended the police for their swift response and the involvement of the Inspector General of Police (IGP).We are very satisfied with the speed of the arrests and the IGPs personal visit. They deserve commendation.The Ghana Police Service has already arrested six suspects linked to the incident. Both the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the clubs involved have condemned the violence, emphasizing the need for urgent reforms.
