Withdrawal from GPL will not distort investigation - Nsoatreman PRO
Nsoatreman FC's Communications Director, Joel Kofi Gyempeh, has assured that the club's decision to withdraw from the Ghana Premier League will not hinder the ongoing investigation into the fatal stabbing incident at Nana Koramansah Park.Gyempeh confirmed that the club has submitted a withdrawal request to the Ghana Football Association (GFA), pending approval. He emphasised that the investigation, currently being led by the Police Service, will continue uninterrupted. It's true, our withdrawal from the league wouldn't prevent the investigations from going on. Currently, investigations are going on and we've left everything in the hands of the Police Service, Gyempeh said.Gyempeh explained that the club's primary concern is the well-being and safety of all stakeholders, and that continuing to participate in the league would be morally unjustifiable.I think there wouldn't be any moral right for us to continue with it again and there's another twist, the deceased is married to the sister of our club chairmanso he's feeling the pain, he added. The GFA has urged all relevant parties to cooperate fully with the investigation, and has postponed match week 20 games to allow for further inquiry.
