Coaches haven't done enough to transform average players - Alhaji Raji
[caption id=attachment_363497 align=alignnone width=530] Alhaji Raji Ali[/caption]Former Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) chairman, Alhaji Ali Raji, has criticised coaches for failing to develop and transform average players into top-notch talent.Raji expressed his disappointment in the quality of home-based players, stating that they possess very low quality, which has negatively impacted Ghana's performance in youth competitions.The coaches have not shown any potential to change a very low quality players into very good players, they have not exhibited it, Raji said in an interview with Asempa FM.Ghana's struggles in youth competitions include failing to qualify for the U-17 World Cup since 2017 and the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations, despite winning the tournament in 2021.The country's home-based squad also suffered a disappointing elimination in the qualifiers for the African Nations Championship (CHAN) by Nigeria.Raji's comments highlight the need for coaches to step up and develop the talent of home-based players, rather than simply relying on their natural ability.
