Mark Addo opens FIFA Financial Governance Workshop in Accra
Vice President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Mark Addo, has opened a three-day FIFA Financial Governance Workshop for General Secretaries and Chief Finance Officers of ten Member Associations at the Marriott Hotel in Accra.The participating associations include Ghana, Nigeria, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Cape Verde, The Gambia, and Kenya.The FIFA team leading the workshop comprises Meryem Atouk, FIFA's Finance Services Manager; Andrea Portabella, Senior Capacity Development and Education Manager; Silmara Sousa, FIFA Regional Coordinator for Africa; and Raissa Toure, FIFA Division Office Coordinator.Representing Ghana at the workshop are GFA General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo (Esq.), Chief Finance Officer Collins Dei, Joyce Asare, and Saiyida Maryam Siba, Head of Financial Reporting.The workshop focuses on strengthening financial governance in football, covering financial management, accountability, transparency, and resource efficiency. Participants are expected to gain insights and tools to enhance the financial sustainability of their organizations.Maxwell Caesar Kemeh, an administrator at the Competitions Department, serves as the Local Liaison Officer for the event.
