On 21st July 2014, Chinese Ambassador Ms. Sun Baohong met with Anthony Akordor, Board Chairman of Philip Akpo Memorial School and Lydya Sediro, a Headmistress of the School, both of whom came to the Chinese Embassy specially to express their gratitude to Ambassador Sun for the "China-Ghana Friendship ICT Laboratory" aided by the Chinese side.

On 13th June 2014,Chinese Ambassador H.E. Ms. Sun Baohong Attended the First-ever Tourism Stakeholders Forum on China's Out-bound Market organized by China-Ghana Friendship Association (GHACHIFA). Ambassador Sun gave a speech, and shared her views on tourism in Ghana with Ghana's Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Her Honorable Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, and President of GHACHIFA, His Excellency Kojo Gottfried and other participants.

On 16 June 2014, Chinese Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Ms. Sun Baohong delivered a lecture titled "China's Foreign Policy and its Impact on Africa" to around 60 student officers from 22 different African countries in Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College at the invitation of Air Vice Marshall Issifu Sakib Kadri, head of the college.

On 4th June 2014, Chinese Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Ms. Sun Baohong paid a courtesy call on Hon. Alfred Vanderpujie, Mayor of Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA). The two exchanged views on China-Ghana relations, cooperation on economy and trade and especially those projects implemented by the Chinese side in Accra. Nearly 100 people composed of AMA officials, representatives of local business community, schools and honorary citizens attended the meeting.
