The Red Cross Society of China has provided 50,000 U.S. dollars to the Ghana Red Cross Society to fight the cholera outbreak which has killed over 100 people in the country.

On 10 September 2014, Chinese Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Sun Baohong paid a call on H.E. John Agyekum Kufuor, former President of Ghana.

The Executive Secretary of the Energy Commission of Ghana, Dr Alfred Ofosu-Ahenkorah, and the acting UNDP Resident Representative, Gita Honwana Welch, signed the Agreement on China-Ghana South-South Cooperation on Renewable Energy Technology Transfer Project for their respective institutions at a ceremony in Accra on September 8th.

On 8th August 2014, Chinese Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Ms. Sun Baohong met with Hon. Paul Evans Aidoo, Minister for the Western Region, and had a friendly talk with His Honorable on cooperation between China and the Western Region.

On 7 August 2014, Chinese Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Ms. Sun Baohong met with Hon. Alhaji A.B. Inusah Fuseini, Minister for Roads and Highways. The two sides exchanged views on road constructions contracted by Chinese companies in Ghana, issues in the cooperation and new ways to elevate the cooperation.

Accra -The Chinese government has provided more than 500 government scholarships to Ghanaian students since 1984, Chinese Ambassador to Ghana Sun Baohong said Thursday.

On 6 August 2014, Chinese Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Ms. Sun Baohong met with Hon. Kwaku Agyeman-Mensah, Minister for Health. The two sides exchanged views on China-Ghana cooperation on health. Ambassador Sun expressed concern on epidemics in Ghana and said that China is willing to provide support to Ghana in this regard.

On 30 July 2014, Chinese Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Ms. Sun Baohong met with Mr. Samuel Adjei, Managing Director of ECOBANK Ghana in the Chinese Embassy. The two sides exchanged views on China-Ghana financial cooperation and the current economic situation in Ghana.

Accra -Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama is billed to chair this year's China-Africa Local Government Cooperation forum scheduled in Beijing from August 27 to 28, the state-run Ghana News Agency reported Wednesday.
