Leverage AI For Social Impact – Entrepreneurs Urged

Founder and CEO of Pedlo Energy Company PLC, Ing. Dr. Peter Godslove Debrah, has advised entrepreneurs to harness Artificial Intelligence (AI) to create meaningful solutions for society, pointing to opportunities in smart agriculture, digital finance, predictive maintenance, virtual learning, automated logistics, and AI-powered healthcare.

Speaking during the Entrepreneurship Training Institute’s (ETI) 12^th Congregation in Accra, he urged graduates to embrace technology not as a substitute for human potential but as a powerful tool for national development.

Speaking on the theme, “Redefining Entrepreneurship for National Development in the AI Era,” Dr. Debrah described the graduating class as people with “refined minds.” He further noted that the graduating class are individuals he believes have been prepared to confront the evolving demands of a world transformed by AI.

“Artificial Intelligence is not here to replace you; it is here to empower you,” he affirmed, seeking to dispel doubts about the future of work in the digital age.

“Look at Elon Musk, look at Aliko Dangote, their names have become continents of inspiration because they sacrificed and built. Technology did not make them—it was their courage,” he said.

Dr. Debrah also offered an honest reflection on the difficulties of the entrepreneurial journey, cautioning graduates that sacrifice is inevitable.

“You will lose sleep. You will miss family moments. You will exchange your social life for your dream, but if you endure, there is joy at the end of the tunnel,” he said.

He further advised graduates to protect their integrity and steer clear of politics that may compromise their credibility. Instead, he encouraged them to be disciplined, ethical, and focused on building solutions rather than contributing to societal noise. “Be citizens with a difference—builders, not noise makers,” he stressed.

Over 600 students graduated with Diploma and Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education.
