Bjorn Vido
Oscar-nominated Danish singer, Bjorn Vido, who has plans of hosting a musical concert in Accra in October this year, is set to unveil his climate change advocacy project dubbed ‘Music In Space’.
The singer is seeking to engineer through collaboratory efforts what would become one of the monumental musical events in the history of the country and the world at large.
Pivotal in Bjorn’s quest to challenge the status quo in unraveling the positives and negatives of climate change is his initial desire to make music that cuts across and assimilates other genres, rhythmic patterns and cultural vibrations.
This is evident in the singer’s single titled ‘High On Life’ which encompasses the ethos of liberation and renewal. The single features South Africa’s multifaceted talent Touchline – a prolific rapper, singer, and songwriter.
The video is shot in Accra with the dancer Incredible Zigi and several local stars. The song captivates listeners with its infectious energy and thought-provoking lyrics.
For Bjorn, his musical journey is built on the tenets of artistic integrity, hard work, and creative freedom.
Tenets such as this have helped Bjorn who stated, “Through our music, we aspire to evoke ‘the overview effect,’ awakening a sense of wonder and reverence for our fragile blue planet.”
As ‘Music In Space’ prepares to embark on its next chapter, Bjorn Vido extends a heartfelt invitation to artists, collaborators, and supporters to join him on this transformative journey. Together, they stand poised to chart a course towards a more harmonious and sustainable future.
With an illustrious career spanning decades, Bjorn Vido has garnered laurels for his innovative approach to music and filmmaking, earning numerous accolades and nominations, including prestigious awards from across the globe.
He continues his journey, partnering with Alkians Entertainment for management and A&R Services in seeking to redefine narratives across the music ecosystem.
