President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo will be the Special Guest of Honour at this year’s National May Day Parade to be held at the Independence Square in Accra on May 1, 2017 from 8:00am to 1:00pm.
This year’s May Day celebration will be on the theme; “Ghana @60: Mobilizing for Ghana’s Future through the creation of Decent Jobs”.
According to Organised Labour, regional parades will also be held in all ten regions of the country as workers of Ghana join their millions of colleagues the world over to celebrate May Day.
A programme issued by Dr. Yaw Baah, Secretary General of the Trades Union Congress, for Organised Labour said the national and regional parades will be preceded by a National May Day Forum to discuss the theme.
The Forum is scheduled for Wednesday 26th April, 2017 from 9:00am to 1:00pm at Mensvic Grand Hotel, East Legon, Accra.
