There is nothing more powerful than having women around you who see you, celebrate you, and stand beside you. Life was never meant to be done alone, and when you have a strong circle, you move differently. You dream bigger. You fight harder. You rise faster.
As a life coach, I often encourage my clients to reflect on their relationships and ask themselves: Who is in my circle? Do the people around me inspire me to grow, or do they drain me? Just as you would not invest in stocks that never yield returns, you must be intentional about where you invest your emotional and mental energy. Real sisterhood is built on reciprocity, encouragement and love.
I have been fortunate to experience this kind of support in my own journey. One shining example is Mrs. Eunice Tornyi — TV host of the African Women’s Voices show, President of the International Relations and Diplomacy Network Ghana (IRDN Ghana), an MC, and my confidant. Despite her many roles, Eunice makes time for others. Beyond the stages we share in public speaking, she consistently demonstrates the essence of true sisterhood — going the extra mile, showing up, listening, and encouraging. Her example reminds me that a strong network is not just beneficial, it is essential.
If you are looking to strengthen your own circle, here are three coaching prompts to consider:
Audit your network: Write down the names of five women you spend the most time with. Do they inspire, challenge and uplift you?
Reciprocate intentionally: Ask yourself, How am I also showing up for others? Remember, sisterhood flows both ways.
Seek out growth energy: Join groups, communities or networks where encouragement and accountability are the norm.
When you know your network, you know your strength. Surround yourself with women who clap loudly for your wins, stand with you in moments of loss, and constantly remind you of your potential. That is the kind of energy that fuels growth, joy and success.
This is a tribute to all the women who continue to show up — for themselves and for each other. You are the true heartbeat of sisterhood.
