CHLiF-Gh screens 245 participants

…donates medical equipment to Manfo Model Health Center

The Collins Healthy Liver Foundation (CHLiF-Gh) organized a successful hepatitis B screening and vaccination outreach at the R/C School Park in Manfo, Ahafo Region, as part of its mission to eradicate hepatitis B and promote healthy liver living in Ghana.

A total  of 245 participants were screened during the exercise. Of these, 12 tested positive and have since  been referred to CHLiF-Gh’s partner clinics for further medical checks and diagnosis.

All participants who tested negative received the first dose of the hepatitis B vaccine, resulting in a 100% vaccination coverage. The second dose is scheduled for 22nd October 2025, free of charge, to ensure full protection for participants.

In addition to the health screening, CHLiF-Gh extended its impact through a donation to the Manfo Model Health Center. The Foundation presented two  wheelchairs,two digital blood pressure monitors,10 bedsheets and 10 plastic chairs

These items are expected to improve healthcare delivery in the underserved Manfo community.

The outreach and donation were made possible through the generous support of LabMart, Promasidor Ghana Limited, Anidaso Eye and Dental Services, Barima Cuisine, and friends of the Foundation, whose contributions reflect the power of partnership in advancing healthcare access.

Speaking at the event, the Founder of CHLiF-Gh, Francisca Kusiwaa Yeboah Larbi reaffirmed:“Our vision is a hepatitis-free community where everyone, regardless of their background, has access to preventive care and support. The donations made today, alongside the screening and vaccination, are small but significant steps toward that goal.”

CHLiF-Gh remains committed to promoting liver health through awareness, free screening, vaccination, and advocacy. The Foundation extends heartfelt gratitude to all partners, volunteers, and community leaders who made this outreach a success.
