In the spirit of love and community, Korba – one of the leading financial services providers – celebrated this year’s Valentine’s Day with students and staff of Dzorwulu Special School, reaffirming its commitment in giving back to society.
The initiative, part of Korba’s corporate social responsibility efforts, saw a donation of essential food items and stationery, among other essentials to students and staff, bringing smiles to their faces and reinforcing the company’s mission of making a positive impact beyond financial services.
During the event, Nelson Korshi Da Seglah, CEO-Korba, delivered a heartfelt speech emphasising the deeper meaning of love – not just in words but in action. He highlighted Korba’s dedication to empowering young minds, encouraging students to continue dreaming big and appreciating the unwavering dedication from the school’s teachers and staff.
“At Korba, we believe that love is more than words; it is about action, compassion and making a difference in the lives of others. Today, we are honoured to be here – not only to give but also celebrate the bright future of these students,” Korshi remarked.
The event was graced by the presence of board members and staff from Korba as well as school administrators, all of whom actively participated in the celebration.
Frederick Oboama Tetteh, Headmaster of Dzorwulu Special School, expressed deep gratitude to Korba for their generosity and choosing to celebrate Valentine’s Day with the students.
“The kids here love to see visitors around because it makes them happy. Together with them, we are so grateful for this kindness shown us and we hope it translates into blessings for Korba.”
The event was not just about donations but also spreading joy. KFC supported this donation to make it memorable by supplyig burgers and drinks as snacks for the students. Korba staff members also engaged in interactive sessions with the students, creating a lively and memorable atmosphere filled with laughter, music and encouragement.
Korba remains committed to supporting and fostering inclusivity, with plans to ensure similar community CSR initiatives in the future .
