President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will deliver a message on the State of the Nation today in parliament.
This is in accordance with article 67 of the Constitution which mandates the President to present before the House, a message on the State of the Nation at the commencement of each session and prior to the dissolution of Parliament.
The address is anticipated to underscore government’s principal policy objectives for the year and outline strategies aimed at addressing prevailing economic conditions.
Following the delivery, a motion to thank the President for the Message on the State of the Nation would be moved on Thursday, 29 February, 2024 to allow for the commencement of debate and contributions from Members from both the Majority and Minority. The debate is proposed to be concluded on Thursday, 7″ March, 2024.
