Parliament to resume sitting on May 27

Parliament will resume sittings on Tuesday to proceed with legislative duties after the House had gone on a long recess.

Speaker Alban Bagbin has announced that the Second Meeting of the First Session of the Ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic will officially begin on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 with MPs expected to return to the Chamber.

The notice was issued in line with Order 58 of the Standing Orders of Parliament, which mandates the Speaker to formally inform Members of Parliament about scheduled sittings.

This upcoming meeting signals the restart of parliamentary activities, including legislative debates, committee work, and discussions on pressing national matters.
