Hearts of Oak head coach, Aboubakar Ouattara, has conceded that his side was outclassed by a more formidable Nations FC outfit in their outstanding Matchday 21 clash at the Tuba Astroturf on Thursday.
The Phobians suffered their third setback in their last five league encounters, with Razak Simpson’s spectacular strike proving the decisive factor in Nations FC’s maiden victory over the Accra-based giants.
Speaking in a post match intervie, Aboubakar Ouattara, admitted that his side lost to a better despite executing their game plan to perfection.
“We lost to one of the most organized teams. We did everything right, unfortunately, it’s the same disaster we have; the ability to score, we have a problem with that. We lost, we accept it. We accept we lost the game because we didn’t do well,” the Ivorian tactician lamented.
The Phobians have hit a rough patch recently, managing only one win in their last five league encounters, with three losses and one draw, and are currently winless in their last four outings, suffering three defeats and a solitary draw.
Hearts of Oak now occupy 6th place with 37 points, trailing leaders Kotoko by eight points.
As Hearts of Oak seek to arrest their slump, they will face a rejuvenated Medeama SC side, who are gradually finding their footing under new coach Ibrahim Tanko, at the Accra Sports Stadium this weekend.
Ouattara will be hoping his charges can rediscover their scoring touch and get their campaign back on track.
