Nollywood actress and model, Nancy Isime has expressed strong disapproval of Africans migrating through illegal means to the Western countries for greener pastures.
Nancy Isime said she’s an advocate and a firm believer of Africans “staying back at home” and achieving their dreams.
She further called for an end to Africans migrating to the West through deserts, oceans stating that such perception needs to be eroded.
In an interview on TV3’s The Afternoon Show, Wednesday April 2, 2025 Nancy who says she loves travelling stressed that migrating to the West must be done through the right means as Africans are “kings and queens” and must exude such personality.
“I love acting, I love hosting and I love travelling a lot like you said. Maybe not an advocate for real immigration so to speak, I’m mostly an advocate for staying back at home as much as you want but one thing, I would say I am a true believer that you can see the world and you can see it the right way.
“We are kings and queens and when we go to these places we should be able to show that we are walking with our heads tall and our visa and our document knowing that we are there.
“When it’s time for us to leave for those of us who get our visa, we leave before our time and we go and come back or we can just go live there and whatever you want to do, you can just do it the right way.
“It’s just enough, we (Africans) need to stop being known for coming into countries through the backyard way you know through killing, dying and desert, all of that, it is unnecessary, it is not the best,” she cautioned.
Nancy stands tall in the Hollywood movie industry featuring recently in award-winning movies, Shanty Town, Blood Sisters, etc.
She has delivered stellar performances in blockbuster films such as Everybody Loves Jenifa (2024), Queen Lateefah (2024), Omo Ghetto: The Saga (2021), and globally streamed hits like Shanty Town (2023) and Blood Sisters (2022).
