
The Ministry of the Interior has dismissed social media claims suggesting that certain individuals, including pastors, have been granted special privileges to bypass security checks.
In a statement issued by its Public Affairs and Communications Unit, the Ministry categorically denied the allegations, calling them “baseless, entirely false, and should be disregarded immediately.”
The Ministry expressed concern over the spread of misinformation, warning that such false claims undermine national security and public trust. It reiterated that no individual or group is exempt from standard security protocols, emphasizing that all citizens are subject to the same regulations.
“The Ministry of the Interior wishes to state categorically that these claims are baseless, entirely false, and should be disregarded immediately.”

The statement further highlighted the Ministry’s commitment to upholding peace and security nationwide without discrimination. It assured the public that security protocols remain strict and uniform for all individuals, regardless of their status or profession.
Additionally, the Ministry warned against the misuse of its name for criminal activities or spreading false information, urging Ghanaians to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
