Muntaka emphasizes his commitment to digitalizing Interior Ministry’s services

The Minister of the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, has outlined his plans for the Ministry, emphasizing his commitment to digitalizing the Ministry’s services to make them more accessible to the public.

He called for Public-Private Partnerships to drive his agenda forward.

He said this when a delegation from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, led by the Ameer Maulvi Mohammed Bin Salih called on him at the Ministry to commiserate with him on the demise of his mother, which occurred in February and also congratulated him on his appointment.

Hon. Muntaka thanked the Ameer and his delegation for the gesture. He stated that, although his mother is no longer alive, the visit demonstrates that he has a supportive family that will advise and guide him to perform well and achieve the Ministry’s mandate.

He also called on the Muslim communities to come together and also contribute their quota to the development of the Ministry and the nation as a whole.

Earlier, the Ambassador of Turkey to Ghana, H.E. Hüseyin Güngör, also paid a courtesy call on him at his office in Accra.

During the meeting, Mr Muntaka expressed Ghana’s appreciation for Turkey’s support in various fields, including security and economic development.

He also highlighted the Prison Agriculture Project, an initiative aimed at addressing the feeding crises within Ghana’s prisons, a statement issued by the Ministry after the engagement on Tuesday, March 4 said.

The Minister emphasised the importance of cooperation between the two nations in areas such as counter-terrorism, cyber security, and capacity building for security services.

The Turkish Ambassador, H.E. Hüseyin Güngör reiterated Turkey’s commitment to strengthening its relationship with Ghana and enhancing cooperation in area of mutual interest.

The meeting paves the way for future collaborations, particularly in addressing Ghana’s prison feeding crises through sustainable agricultural practices.

In a Facebook post , the Minister said “Today, I had the distinct honour of receiving His Excellency Hüseyin Güngör, the Ambassador of Turkey to Ghana, at my office.

Our meeting provided a valuable opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue regarding the bilateral relations between our two nations. The discussions were centered around Turkey’s multifaceted support for Ghana, particularly in critical areas such as security and economic development.

“Such collaborations are essential in enhancing national stability and fostering sustainable growth within our communities. During our conversation, I took the opportunity to express Ghana’s profound appreciation for Turkey’s assistance across various sectors.”

He added “The Turkish government has demonstrated a commitment to strengthening ties with Ghana through initiatives that promote not only economic partnerships but also enhance security cooperation.
