The Member of Parliament for Jaman South, Colonel Kwadwo Damoah (Retired), has made a fervent appeal for bipartisan collaboration to drive development in the Bono Region.
In and interview with Media General’s Regional Correspondent, Claude Kumi Abisa, the MP emphasized the need to set aside political differences, urging stakeholders to unite for progress.
The retired military officer turned legislator struck a unifying tone, declaring that the development of Bono must rise above partisan interests.
“Development cannot wait for political victories. Whether NPP, NDC, or independent, our shared goal must be the upliftment of Bono. Let us prioritize education, healthcare, and infrastructure, not party colors.” He said.
The MP stressed that challenges like road connectivity, youth unemployment, and healthcare access require urgent political action.
With the honourable Colonel Damoah’s rallying cry, he appealed with stakeholder as well as his fellow constituency perspectives in parliament, underscoring Bono’s progress hinges on unity.
He also invoked divine guidance for his term, and urged his constituents to rally solidly behind him as he stands as the only New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament in the region, to enable him successfully discharge his duties to improve their livelihood.
“I pray for wisdom and collective strength to serve all constituents. We’ve longed for this unity.” He stated.
With Colonel Damoah’s rallying cry resonating across the region, all eyes are on how political rivals will respond.
