Tamale South Member of Parliament Haruna Iddrisu who has been reelected in the 2024 general election has said he has eyes on his presential ambition.
Asked about his ambition while speaking on TV3 Friday, December 13, he said “My eye is on the ball but I don’t know about tomorrow.”
Earlier, the Former Minority Leader Haruna Iddrisu said that the president-elect, John Dramani Mahama has inherited an economy faced with severe challenges.
Speaking to journalists in Accra on Monday, December 9, the Member of Parliament for Tamale South said “we cannot take the people for granted, Ghanaians say ‘If you fail us we will you tomorrow’,”.
He added that ” President Mahama inherited a difficult economy but he will weather the storm.”
Mr Mahama has also accused the outgoing Akufo-Addo administration of plunging Ghana into deep economic challenges.
To that end, Mr Mahama said that it would be tough for his new administration while he seeks to implement governance reforms.
“We should not forget the people of Ghana,” Mahama stated passionately. “We will implement governance reforms. The journey is not going to be easy because the outgoing government has plunged the nation into an abyss.”
Mr Mahama further emphasised the need for unity and collaboration.
“The one we serve is Mother Ghana,” he said.
