A gruesome triple crime has shaken the community of Broni Ekura near Agona Bibikuma, leaving two dead and one critically injured.
The suspect, a husband and father, is currently on the run.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred early in the morning of December 12, 2024, when the suspect allegedly killed his wife and daughter. The motive behind the killings is still unknown.
The suspect, who is believed to be a migrant from Togo, fled the scene and has not been found.

In a bizarre twist, a 56-year-old hunter named Opanyin Kwesi Ewudzie, who was returning from his night job, stumbled upon the scene and attempted to defend the suspect’s other child. Furiously, the suspect attacked the hunter, leaving him severely injured.
The hunter was later rushed to a nearby hospital, where he remains unconscious and in critical condition. As of 9:00pm, the hunter is still receiving treatment at the Agona Swedru Municipal Hospital and has not regained consciousness.

Making reference to the killing of the Okada rider who was beheaded on December 1, 2024, the communities need a proper security system.
