We’ve sent clear instructions to our agents to abide with electoral process – NDC

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has said it is committed to ensuring peaceful elections devoid of violence at various collation centres.

Addressing the media on Sunday night, General Secretary of the party, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey noted that clear instructions have been given to party agents at collation centres to abide with electoral process.

This comes shortly after the New Patriotic Party in a press conference accused the NDC supporters of orchestrating violence at collation centres.

According to Fiavi Kwetey, the party is not ready to cause any violence to mar their landslide victory in the elections.

He disclosed that the President elect John Mahama will probably address the nation on Monday, December 9.

The party claimed that although all results are yet to be declared, it has secured 185 seats in Parliament out of the 276 constituencies.

I hear that our friend on the other side made a consolatory note that for the first time a presidential candidate has conceded when he lost, when this Tsunami hits you there’s little you can do, in fact there’s nothing you can do.

The party called on the Electoral Commission to not unduly delay the declaration of the results to allow President elect, John Mahama address the nation as the new President of the country.
