Promising Ghanaian defender Stanley Quarshie is currently on trials with Chelsea Football Club’s youth team.
The talented 17-year-old, who made the leap from VIM Sporting Club in Ghana’s lower-tier league, is hoping to impress the Premier League giants and secure a spot in their academy.
Quarshie’s journey to the UK came after a standout performance at the Samba Stars Tournament, where his skills caught the attention of scouts.
Following two successful weeks with Wolverhampton Wanderers’ academy, the young defender now has the opportunity to prove himself at Chelsea.
If Quarshie impresses during his trials, he could join a growing list of Ghanaian talents who have made their mark abroad.
Notably, fellow Ghanaian David Oduro also had trials with Chelsea before eventually joining FC Barcelona, while Vincent Mobilla and U17 star Fatawu Ganiwu have both been invited for trials with the London club in recent months.
Quarshie’s ambition and dedication have earned him this remarkable opportunity, and he will be eager to make the most of his time at Chelsea, hoping to secure his future at one of England’s top clubs.
