Hassan Ayariga tells police, other institutions to support the Electoral Commission

As a man of peace, the flag bearer of the All People’s Congress (APC), Hassan Ayariga, has said he is committed to the peace of this country before, during and after the elections.

For the past 32 years of the Fourth Republic being managed by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Ayariga says the two parties have not done anything meaningful for the country and a victory for any of them wouldn’t be news.

According to him, electing someone to become President in the upcoming polls is not a do or die affair, adding that Ghanaians have seen both the NPP and NDC have nothing left to offer them.

“And I don’t think that this presidency is about do or die. No. We’ve seen the two parties already. We’ve seen NDC, we’ve seen NPP. Any of them becoming President is not news to us,” he stated.

He, however, stated that a victory for the APC and Hassan Ayariga will be good news for the country since his administration brings in ideas different from what Ghanaians have been served by the duopoly administrations over the years.

“But Hassan Ayariga becoming President is good news for Ghana. So I am calling on the NDC and the NPP for us to campaign peacefully before, during, and after the election, so that we can have a peaceful Ghana and elect Hassan Ayariga as President of the Republic of Ghana. And we shall all live in peace and in harmony,” he said at the launch of ‘Abato? Aso?e?‘, Onua TV and FM’s version of Election Command Centre Wednesday, September 11, 2024.

He also pledged his commitment to peace and his readiness to support the Electoral Commission with its resources for a transparent and credible poll.

“So, brothers and sisters, I want to pledge here before all of you that Hassan Ayariga and the APC, we will campaign in peace. We will make sure that this election is peaceful. And we will support the Electoral Commission with all our resources to make sure that they give us a perfect, clean, credible, and fair election,” added Ayariga.

Ayariga also encouraged the police and other stakeholders to support the Commission to make the election peaceful.

“And I’m also calling on the police and all other institutions to support the Electoral Commission to make sure that they deliver a peaceful election. Besides that, there’s nothing more, there’s nothing less”.
