Akufo-Addo and Bawumia have been kind to Asanteman – Chairman Wontumi

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Bernard Antwi Boasiako (Wontumi) has described the kind of road infrastructure that the region has witnessed in the last seven years as “unbelievably unprecedented “.

According to him, the speed at which developmental projects are being carried out in all parts of the region should not be taken for granted and all efforts should be made by the region to safeguard it.

Making particular reference to the Asokwa Constituency, Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako observed that the Akufo-Addo, Bawumia led government have extremely served residents well. They must, therefore, show the greatest of appreciation during the December polls.

In his view the ultimate losers would be the people of Asokwa and the region, should they make a mistake to vote out this performing government.

Speaking leadership of the Constituency, Chairman Wontumi, said the Asokwa constituency can now boast of world class roads, with most parts of community roads asphalted in the last 7 years.

He noted that this has been possible because the NPP government recognises the support it has enjoyed from them over the political history of the party.

“That’s why the party gives premium to its strongholds and will continue to stay true to its own’, the Regional Chairman added.

He stated that the campaign this time is about knowing every voter in the constituency and that every electoral area coordinator and assembly members will have to give comprehensive reports on each voter in a given polling

Again, Bernard Antwi Boasiako tasked Assembly members and electoral area coordinators to be ready as they will be leading the DMB campaign to achieve the 90 percent target in total valid votes.

He said, winning the 2024 elections is about hard work, unity, prayers and God’s grace.

One refreshing key event that took place at the meeting that brought excitement to the Asokwa campaign, was the return of Eric Osei, a 2020 independent parliamentary candidate in the constituency.

Chairman Wontumi, led the campaign team to welcome him back to the party fold.
