Congolese midfielder Linda Mtange has expressed optimism about Hearts of Oak’s chances of clinching the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League title, emphasising that consistent victories are key to achieving this goal.
Despite a shaky start to the season, the Phobians have shown remarkable resilience, maintaining an unbeaten streak of eight games.
Their recent victory against Heart of Lions, where they staged a comeback to secure a 2-1 win, propelled them to seventh place on the league table.

In an interview with Akoma FM after the match, Linda Mtange asserted that Hearts of Oak can emerge victorious in the league if they continue to secure wins consistently.
”I believe it is beneficial for us to pick all of the points, and with God’s help, we were able to do so. I am confident that these results will continue, and that we will win the title because trophies can only be won by accumulating all points in a game, and if we continue to win, we will undoubtedly win the league.”
The recent impressive form of Hearts of Oak has also been credited to their new coach, Aboubakar Ouattara, who has overseen the team in five matches during the second round of the campaign.
Currently, after 22 games, the Phobians occupy the seventh position in the league standings and have managed to maintain an unbeaten streak in their last eight matches.
Their next fixture in the Ghana Premier League will see them travel to Samarboi to face league leaders FC Samartex.
