Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo has been named the PFA Premier League Fans’ Player of the Month for September, capping off a brilliant run of form that has underlined his growing influence at Bournemouth this season.
The 25-year-old, who has featured in every minute of the Cherries’ league campaign so far, has been directly involved in nine of the club’s 11 goals â scoring six and providing three assists.
His consistency and work rate have made him one of the Premier League’s standout performers in the early stages of the 2025â26 season.
Semenyo’s performances were instrumental in Bournemouth’s unbeaten run through September.
He opened the month with a goal and an assist in the 2-1 win over Brighton, showcasing his sharp instincts in front of goal and creativity in the final third.
The Ghana international then maintained his momentum in hard-fought draws against Newcastle United and Leeds United, the latter featuring a superbly taken free-kick â a low, powerful strike driven under the defensive wall and into the bottom corner.
His dynamic displays saw him beat off competition from several top-flight stars, including Newcastle’s Nick Pope, Sunderland’s Omar Alderete, Liverpool’s Ryan Gravenberch, Manchester City’s Erling Haaland, and Arsenal’s Martin Zubimendi, to claim the fan-voted award.
Semenyo’s rise has been one of the bright stories of Bournemouth’s campaign, with his form also offering a major boost to Ghana ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
