Ghanaian forward Kwame Peprah continued his electric start to life in Cambodia after scoring again as Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng FC got off to a flying start in the ASEAN Club Championship.
The former King Faisal striker netted in the 3-0 win over Myanmar side Shan United at Thuwunna Stadium. Peprah won and converted from the spot in the second half as Svay Rieng finished top of Group B on matchday one.
The striker who won the best player in the Super Cup few weeks ago started for his side and was a constant threat for the defence of Shan United, combining well with Brazilian teammate Patrick de Souza upfront.
The Cambodians wasted no time in establishing their intention after Min Ratanak broke the deadlock in the 11th minute, connecting to a De Souza cross.
Moments later De Souza went from provider to scorer after heading home from a Yudai Ogawa corner kick.
After the break, Peprah sealed the win for Svay Rieng in the 53rd minute, making no mistake from 12 yards.
Svay Rieng will next face Nam Dinh in the competition on September 25, 2025.
