Hearts of Oak coach Didi Dramani says the club is paying close attention to player management in order to avoid long-term injuries ahead of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
The Phobians are currently competing in the GHALCA Top 4 and will play their second game against Ghana Premier League champions Bibiani GoldStars on Friday, August 22, at the University of Ghana Stadium.
Hearts opened their campaign with a 1-0 win over Heart of Lions on Wednesday at the same venue.
Dramani explained that while preseason competitions are important for preparation, they come with risks if players are overused.
“This period is also crucial. When you don't manage the loading, you can lose a player, and then you can lose a player for the entire season.
"And that is what we're trying to avoid â that we don't overdose the player in terms of game minutes. Phobia, we love you.”
The coach also appealed to supporters to maintain their presence at the stadium throughout the tournament.
“Please keep coming to the stadium, fill up the stadium so that the organization of the Top Four will become very eminent.”
Hearts wrap up their campaign on Sunday against rivals Asante Kotoko.
