Ghanaian midfielder Kwame Bonsu has completed a move to Saudi Arabian club Al Jandal SC on a one-year contract, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.
The 30-year-old joins as a free agent after parting ways with Al-Ain Saudi FC earlier this year, becoming the latest Ghanaian player to secure a deal in the Middle East.
Bonsu’s career has been defined by resilience and adaptability, having featured in multiple leagues across Europe, Africa, and Asia.
He began his European adventure in 2013 with Swedish sides Mjolby AI, FC Rosengard, and Gefle IF before returning to Ghana to sign for Asante Kotoko in 2018.
His standout performances with the Porcupine Warriors in the CAF Confederation Cup earned him a Black Stars call-up in 2019.
After leaving Kotoko, Bonsu signed for Tunisian giants Esperance de Tunis, where he won the domestic league title.
He later had stints with Ceramica Cleopatra in Egypt, UAE side Al-Bataeh, Iraqi outfit Naft Al-Basra, and most recently Al-Ain Saudi FC.
Now unveiled by Al Jandal, the experienced midfielder expressed his eagerness to hit the ground running, stressing that he hopes to use his wealth of experience to help the club achieve its targets this season.
Al Jandal are banking on Bonsu’s versatility and leadership qualities to strengthen their midfield as they aim for a successful campaign in the Saudi First Division.
