A total of 340 referees have successfully completed their fitness test as part of the concluding assessment process for the upcoming 2025/26 football season.
The nationwide exercise was conducted across two zones, with 150 match officials participating in Kumasi (Northern Zone) and 190 officials taking part in Koforidua (Southern Zone).”
The fitness test forms a critical part of the referee assessment program, aimed at ensuring that match officials are fully prepared and physically capable of meeting the demands of the new season.
Referees who successfully complete all stages of the assessment will be certified to officiate across the GFA’s elite domestic competitions, including The Ghana Premier League, the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League, the Access Bank Division One League and the MTN FA Cup
