Aston Villa could be set to make a move for Leicester City winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku should Leon Bailey complete a transfer to Roma this summer.
Bailey, 27, is reportedly in talks with the Serie A side, and if he leaves, Villa will be in the market for a like-for-like replacement.
Fatawu, 21, has been one of Leicester’s standout performers despite their relegation to the Championship last season.
The Ghana international, who joined the Foxes permanently in 2023 from Sporting Lisbon, has already made 57 appearances, scoring seven goals and earning 24 caps for his country.
His pace, power, and attacking instinct make him a constant threat on the right wing, much like Bailey, though Fatawu is still considered a raw talent with significant room for development.
Everton were previously linked with the winger but have cooled their interest, opening the door for Villa to pounce.
With Leicester now under the management of Marti Cifuentes following Ruud van Nistelrooy’s failed tenure, the club faces a battle to keep hold of one of their brightest prospects.
For Unai Emery, Fatawu’s arrival would inject youthful energy, depth, and competition into Villa’s attack - a shrewd move as they balance domestic ambitions with their Europa League campaign.
