Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Glenn Hoddle has praised Ghanaian forward Mohammed Kudus for displaying consistency in his performances, highlighting his technical ability and potential to be a key player for Spurs.
Speaking on TNT Sports during the 2025 UEFA Super Cup in Italy on Wednesday night, Hoddle lauded Kudus’ quality despite Tottenham’s dramatic collapse against Paris Saint-Germain.
Spurs squandered a 2-0 lead, conceding in the 85th and 94th minutes before losing on penalties.
Kudus, who started for the Parisians and was substituted in the 79th minute, created the most chances (3) and completed the most dribbles (2) in the match.
“He's got such good talent, such quick feet, and you can see his qualities there. The added ingredient for him as a player is consistency,” Hoddle remarked.
“A lot of my West Ham fans have said to me, âThank you for taking him, Glenn.’ The first year, I thought he was excellent. The second year, they’re telling me he didn’t do so well. But he looks like he’s got a lot of potential, I’ve got to say.”
Kudus joined Tottenham from West Ham United in the summer for â¬63.8 million after two seasons at the London Stadium.
The 25-year-old will be looking to establish himself as a regular under Spurs’ management this season.
