MTN Ghana’s Chief Executive Officer, Stephen Blewett, has reaffirmed the company’s deep commitment to Ghanaian football, stressing that their involvement goes far beyond any single tournament.
Speaking at the announcement of MTN’s role as headline sponsor for all four of Ghana’s national football teams, Blewett said the partnership reflects a long-standing dedication to the sport.
The sponsorship will cover the Black Stars, Black Queens, Black Satellites, Black Starlets, as well as the Elite Under-19 Championship, for the next two years.
"Our commitment to football goes far beyond one competition. We have stood with Ghanaian football through landmark moments, from mobilising supporters for the Black Stars’ first FIFA World Cup in 2006, rallying fans for subsequent tournaments and their most recent appearance in Qatar, from sponsoring fans to cheer the team at multiple AFCON tournaments â including last year’s in Côte d’Ivoire â MTN has stood behind Ghana’s national pride," he said.
The deal further cements MTN’s place as one of the biggest supporters of Ghana football, offering vital resources to help the teams excel on the world stage.
