Ghana FA President Kurt Okraku has expressed heartfelt gratitude to MTN for its unwavering partnership and trust in the association’s vision over the years.
His appreciation came as the FA and the telecom giant signed a significant two-year sponsorship deal to back Ghana’s national football teams.
The agreement will see MTN serve as the headline sponsor for the Black Stars, Black Queens, Black Satellites, and Black Starlets. Valued at $2 million, the deal runs until August 2027 and aims to boost team development and preparations for future competitions.
“Since the 2010/2011 football season, MTN has stuck with the FA, believed in its leadership, and believed in the vision of offering opportunities to the youth of our country. You have continuously supported this unique platformâthis project, this productâcalled the FA Cup. Thank you,” Okraku said.
MTN’s support has been a driving force in Ghana football, from grassroots to elite level, with Asante Kotoko currently holding the FA Cup title.
