Ghana international Thomas Partey has shared his excitement after making his first appearance for Villarreal against Aston Villa.
Partey, who recently joined the Spanish outfit climbed of the bench to mark his debut as the Spanish outfit succumbed to a 2-0 defeat to Aston Villa at the Estadio de la Cerámica.
The Premier League outfit scored on either side of the pitch to secure victory over Villarreal, who are gearing up for the UEFA Champions League campaign.
“First minutes in the tank, God is good” the Ghana international midfielder wrote on Instagram.
Aston Villa took the lead in the 23rd-minute mark through England international, Ollie Watkins before Emiliano Buendia cemented the win, just four minutes into the second half of the match.
With his wealth of experience, Partey is expected to play a huge role for Villarreal in the upcoming 2025/26 football campaign.
The former Arsenal midfielder is no stranger to Spanish football, having previously played for Atletico Madrid before switching to England.
Partey penned a two-year deal to make a sensational return to Spain following his departure from Arsenal at the expiration of his contract in June.
