Stella Nyamekye received a warm welcome from her club Gotham FC following her return after a successful Women's Africa Cup of Nations.
The former Black Princesses captain was one of the revelations of the tournament as the Black Queens claimed bronze in Morocco last month.
Nyamekye scored in the semi-final against host nation Morocco but Ghana painfully lost on penalties to the North Africans before beating then-champions South Africa to finish on the podium.
Following her return to the United States, Nyamekye was joined by teammates Jess Carter, Esther Gonzalez and Gabi Portilho as they were presented to the fans for their performances with their national teams during the break.
"Celebrating our stars for club and country. We are so proud," wrote Gotham FC.
Carter, an England Women's team player won the 2025 European Championship with the Lionesses while Portilho was a Copa America winner with Brazil. Gonzalez finished as a runner-up with Spain at the Euros.
All four players have been key to Gotham FC in the US Women's National Soccer League.
Nyamekye joined Gotham FC last year after an outstanding FIFA U20 Women's World Cup in Colombia with Ghana.
