
Ghana international Thomas Partey will meet his teammates at his new club, Villarreal CF, on Friday, August 8.
Subsequently, on the day, the Black Stars midfielder will have his first training session with the team as part of preparations for the upcoming 2025/26 football season.
Villarreal confirmed on Wednesday, August 7, a deal to sign the former Atletico Madrid midfielder in a move that has attracted diverse opinions from fans due to the player's ongoing legal battle in England.
“Villarreal CF and Thomas Partey have reached an agreement for the Ghanaian footballer to join the Yellows ahead of the 2025/26 season.
“The player will join up with his new team tomorrow at the Training Ground,” Villarreal FC said in a post on Facebook.
Thomas Partey, 32, has signed for Villarreal after leaving Arsenal following the expiration of his contract with the English Premier League outfit.
He has returned to Spain with a lot of experience and will be expected to play a key role for his new club.
