Ghana midfielder Abu Francis has expressed gratitude to former club Cercle Brugge following his move to Toulouse.
The 24-year-old joined the French outfit on a four-year deal after leaving the Belgians following a three-year spell, which saw him make 100 appearances for Cercle.
In an emotional farewell message, Francis admitted the important role the Green and Blacks have played in his career while also acknowledging the support received from fans of the club.
"Today I say goodbye to my amazing family Cercle Brugge. It has been an incredible journey with lots of achievements!! My new journey won’t be possible without the support of this wonderful family. I express my gratitude towards the fans, players and staff members. I wish you a successful season!!" he posted on Instagram.
Francis, who has five caps for the Black Stars, joined his new teammates on Wednesday as preparations continue ahead of the new Ligue 1 season.
"I'm very happy to be here. I can't wait to start this new challenge and join this wonderful family. I'm also looking forward to discovering the Pink City and meeting all the club's incredible supporters!" said the Black Stars midfield dynamo.
He becomes the first Ghanaian player to sign for Toulouse.
