The Black Queens have dropped to 67th in the latest FIFA ranking despite their impressive 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) performance.
Ghana has dropped from the 66th position to the 67th position in the August rankings, which was released on Thursday, August 7.
Despite dropping on the global stage, the Black Queens retained their sixth place on the continent.
After a poor start to the WAFCON tournament, Ghana clinched bronze at the tournament, which was hosted in Morocco last month.
Kim Lars and his ladies will hope to maintain their momentum ahead of their qualifiers earlier this year, ahead of the next edition of the WAFCON tournament.
